Madylanne's cousin from Kansas, Ruth Anne, mailed us a self portrait and we had the delight of taking some photos with "her" with Madylanne, having some Zambian adventures...walking in the backyard close to the bank of the Zambezi River to look for crocs and hippos, and then playing with Madylanne's neighborhood friends. Fun times!!! All the kids LOVED Ruth Anne's paper version of herself. You did a great job Ruth Anne!!

my cute kids
Here are some recent shots of my cute kids, yes I am biased and that's fine by me. :) Madylanne got to play with some neighborhood kids a few days ago and had SO much fun. When I take her out to play with her friends she just eats it up.
Isn't Matthew changing??? He is getting rounder and smilier! :)
Thank You God for my children!

Resurrection Day
Here we are celebrating the resurrection of our Savior!! This is the group that is meeting for worship under the big tree these days. One of the people participating is named Eric, who is being persecuted for attending these gatherings. Please pray for him!
Matthew did great...this was his first time to worship with us under tree. I loved it too- it was my first time out there with him since he was born nearly 3 months ago. :)

Big Apple Adventure
A huge thanks to all the folks from Highland Terrace Baptist Church in Texas who put love, time, energy, and prayers into our kids while the adults attended the meetings. Thank you from our hearts!!!
Madylanne still sings the songs she learned and can say "the Gospel in an eggshell," a really neat simple Gospel presentation. She loved being with her missionary kid cousins! The theme this year for VBS was "Big Apple Adventure."
The wildlife photo is a shot of mongoose and a vervet monkey. These critters lived all over the place where we lodged for the week.

Look Ma, I'm flying!
Here we are flying to our annual meeting in Tshipise, South Africa. By the grace of God our logistics coordinator, Dwayne, and his wife, Betty, asked us to fly with them down there since it would only take one stamp for crossing an international border. Matthew's emergency passport had just enough space for this. And getting to attend the meeting was such a blessing from God!
Madylanne LOVED every minute of it. Every time there was turbulance she squealed with delight. I have to admit it was breathtaking to see the grandeur of God's beautiful Africa from the inside of a 6 seater plane. Matthew did fantastic- his first airplane ride! I was concerned his ears might give him problems but he did just fine. Thank You God for taking care of all of us!

Grandma Margaret
This Lozi woman asked me to call her Grandma Margaret, and the woman beside her is her daughter. Grandma Margaret is one of my very favorite people in Sesheke. She has a store at the market. She has been anxiously awaiting Nana's arrival ever since we told her she would be visiting us. We had a lovely visit together! We are praying for Grandma Margaret to understand that she too can be born again and have a relationship with Jesus. We have shared with her how she can do this. Now we just keep praying and loving her and visiting her...
my real Grandma's name is Margaret, so I have more than one reason to feel so much affection for my Lozi Grandma Margaret!
