fast trip

Madylanne and I made a quick medical trip to our capital city last week. God arranged everything perfectly and we were able to get our appointment and medicine on the same day. We are grateful! Thank you for giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering and to the cooperative program through your local SBC church which makes it possible for us to have medical care!

I confess we stayed up late playing Nurtz and eating snack food. It was fun doing this with my big kid!

Basketball

Today the kids played a little basketball in the front yard. It was fun watching them enjoy each other's company! Sibling love is a gift from God. :)

Birthday Girl

Madylanne is 14!! WOW this girl knows how to travel the globe for new and different places to celebrate her birthday every year. This year is coastal East Africa, last year was Lusaka, Zambia, and the year before was Western Province of Zambia/Senanga.

Our team leader's kids spent part of the week with us. We sure enjoyed their company. What a blessing to have them here for Madylanne's birthday. Thank you for a wonderful week, Elias and Charis!

Friends, pizza, and cake. Must be a birthday party. :)

Tusoma Kiswahili

I am so very thankful to the Lord for Mama Tswila. She is helping me learn Swahili, and teaching me how to cook mahambri, a kind of donut. They were a big hit with the kids.

What is this giant thing??

Anybody know what this fruit is?? They grow on a tree in the front yard. And they are delicious! I first ate them in Taiwan. Micah loves them SOOO much. They are called.....pomelo. They taste like a mild grapefruit. So yummy!

Way to go, Matthew and Micah

We are so proud of the boys...they've done a great job at school the last few weeks!

I am always thankful for their help with the dishes.
