Here in Johannesburg

Here are some pics of our life in Joburg right now...this is the Baptist Guesthouse where we are staying. God sure has blessed us with a homey place to stay while here and lovely people to spend time with...on the bottom is Gerri, one of our teammates from Zambia who is here for a week on business. Madylanne loves Aunt Gerri!
Madylanne and the bull...this painted bull is in front of the hospital where our doctor is and also where I will deliver next week, 2pm on Feb. 2nd.

Prayer Requests

January + February 2025

*Pray for Mark and Pastor Jeremiah as they visit a prison to share the hope of Jesus with inmates. *Pray for a business training which we pray will be happening in February which will be an outreach that connects families to the church. *Pray for Thursday outreach at Kisima...that on Thursdays 2x month many more people will hear the good news about salvation through Jesus. Pray that the community will see Kisima as a blessing. *Pray for our children to be the salt and light in their school and our community. Pray for the relationships that are developed and friendships made. *Pray for Madylanne as she volunteers at the boys' school 2x a week. May she be a blessing to those she serves. *Pray for the families involved in the weekly occupational therapy group. Pray the seeds of the Gospel shared in the Bible stories will take root in their hearts so that they can have hope through Jesus Christ. *Pray for God to bring men who are using heroin to Kisima to find freedom from addiction through Jesus. *Pray for health for our family...mold is constant battle where we live. *Please keep praying for our language learning. *Please pray for us to keep our focus on Jesus. *Please pray for those struggling with drug addiction. It is a big problem on the coast. *Please pray for the Digo and Ndengereko people.

Praises

Thank God with us that:

-a client successfully completed the 5 day detox and 30 day rehab at Kisima! AND he said yes to Jesus and was baptized!!!

-The Nativity performance was amazing and lots of people got to hear the good news of Jesus' birth and what that means for our weary, sinful world.

-Our family had a safe trip to and from South Africa for our meeting. It was a wonderful time of spiritual refueling.

- An opening on a votech campus for ministry.

- There are nationals reaching the Ndengereko...and a few believers among the Ndengereko people...and at least one group meeting for worship and to study the Bible together.
