There's a zebra in our living room

We were able to pick up Mark's zebra skin from the taxidermist this week. We were really surprised to see how big it is! And magnificent...we are still trying to figure out how to display it! Seeing the symmetry and lovely design the Lord used to create this zebra up close is incredible. The Lord did such a fantastic job creating her!

Betty

Look at her gorgeous smile! This beauty is Betty. She is finishing her sophomore year in high school and teaches the kids at church Bible songs and Bible verses, is kind and energetic, and is really growing in her relationship with the Lord. She took it upon herself to buy beads for all the kids at church so that she could braid their hair and decorate it with beads.

Please pray for Betty and I, and another friend named Moohow, who are praying about a new ministry to reach out to kids with special needs here in Sesheke. We are in the idea stage right now, but are trusting the Lord to show us how to move forward in His timing. Teresa has agreed to it and we are going to be bringing it up at the next ladies Bible study to ask these ladies to join us in prayer and for their help as well. Children with special needs are not allowed to attend school here and we would really like to share the love of Jesus with these kids as well as their families. Please join us in praying about how to reach these families with the love and hope of Jesus!

Last week some friends from church came over with their aunt, Betty. Madylanne and Matthew had the time of their lives playing for over THREE hours. Thank You Lord for friends!

What you can't see

What you can't see but I CAN see everyday now when I look out the front door is the SCREEN Mark put on it for me. YEAH!!! Thank you Mark for making me a screen door!! You're the best!! I love you. :)

A mouth full of happy

With chubby cheeks full of Cheerios Matthew is holding Joey, Mark's childhood chum. Matthew and Joey are good buddies. I do indeed thank the Lord for Cheerios...this is what Madylanne and Matthew want to munch on in the mornings while I am getting oatmeal or cream of wheat ready.

They don't have regular Cheerios here but they do have "Honey" Cheerios and they are a most definite favorite in our household.

A family affair

Madylanne and even Matthew like to help me make pizza dough for our pizza on family fun night (every Friday). Having such exuberant helpers is wonderful and fills the kitchen with love!

We love you Dwayne and Betty! Our wonderful logistics coordinators got to visit us for a night last week while they were on their way through, bringing the Scott's crate to them 2 hours further NW of us. We always feel so blessed when company stops by, and especially blessed when it's the Mitchells. :)
