Baptist Mission of Sesheke

We were so pleased to be able to worship with the Baptist Mission of Sesheke two weeks ago and see first hand all that God has been doing in the church body over the last month and a half. They have grown in many ways...Dominic is teaching adult Sunday School, Romeo is teaching the kids Sunday School, and there is even a kids choir! The church body has purchased tin for roofing and poles to begin construction on a building. WOW, thank You God for all that You are doing in the life of this church! May Your kingdom keep growing!!

ladies Bible study

This is the ladies Bible study on Tuesdays. Teresa is teaching now and doing an excellent job! She is using the chronological Bible storying cloth to tell 42 Bible stories. They have moved the Bible study to the tree at the church plot. Praise God for His goodness!

guess what was in our backyard

ok ok, just kidding! I promise we did NOT have a lion in our backyard. :) This lion lives north of Lusaka behind a chain link fence. :) But we DO have crocs and monitor lizards that live in the Zambezi River behind our house. However these that are pictured live in the game park in Livingstone.

come take a walk with us

thought you might like to come take a walk with us :)

Welcome to Sesheke

I haven't shared any pictures of Sesheke for a while, so here are a few glimpses of town. There is a street side shop, charcoal being sold, the day market, and dried caterpillars, a yummy treat! (Ok, I can't say they are particularly yummy to me, but many of my Lozi friends say they are. )

life in Sesheke

This is more of Sesheke...a picture of the outside of the market in town, a termite hill, and typical homes.

Having fun in Kansas

We had such a marvelous time doing all kinds of fun things during our visit to Kansas. We enjoyed spending everyday for nearly a month with our families. Madylanne and Matthew also had the privilege of touring the El Dorado Fire Department with real live firefighters and cousins too, and then Madylanne got a personal tour of Uncle Michael's Sheriff's car with more cousins. Wonderful memories!! Thank You Lord for such a sweet visit with our families.

In the next few blogs you'll see some more of the wonderful times we had with our families.

Happy 1st Birthday Matthew!

We had lots of fun celebrating Matthew's very first birthday in Kansas with our family. Such a blessing from the Lord to be with our family on such a special day!!
