Doin' the wash

This is Lucy. She helps with the laundry since we don't have a washer for the time being. I am SO SO thankful for Lucy and her help! Please pray for Lucy and her family.

Madylanne helps me take the clothes off the line once they're dry...usually just a few hours after being washed.

Drinking Water

This is our drinking water- we bought a few large bottles and put a pump on the top- when we finish a bottle we get it washed and refilled. It's great!

Coconut tree

Matthew loves to climb...so he was pumped to discover he can climb the coconut tree in the front yard. We were warned not to park the truck under this tree or falling coconuts might dent the roof and/or break the windshield. Well, that's the first time we've had a warning like this! :) We are thankful for wise counsel!

Thankful for wheels

Micah is standing in front of the vehicle we are blessed to use. Thank you everyone for giving to Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and to your cooperative program at your church because this helps us have a vehicle to drive!!

And shocker, I can actually drive this truck! It's an automatic!! My foot reaches the pedals, guys! Woohoo!!!

tuk tuk

This is local transportation! They are called tuk tuk's. They are everywhere and very reasonably priced. Faster than Uber! :)  The kids thought it was fun to ride one to the beach.

We made it!

By the grace of God we made it to our new spot on the globe! Thank you all for praying us here! It was quite the trek from the big city but the Lord opened the doors for us to drive here.
Coastal East Africa is absolutely beautiful.

time for school

The kids were a little disappointed they had to pull out school books. But they worked hard and I am proud of them!

Sugar cane

Micah was so happy to get fresh sugar cane for a snack today.
mmm :)

Monkeying around

We were excited to see monkeys today behind the guesthouse- Vervet monkeys.

 They're on the roof....

Donuts!

The staff of the guesthouse makes fresh donuts once a week- and boy were we happy to eat them up! yummy!!

African wildlife

The kids discovered this cool chameleon today outside. Some other kids found them outside the boundaries of our guesthouse but let our kiddos enjoy holding and looking at them, too.

Easter 2021

Happy Easter 2021~
We worship a risen Savior!!

African hospitality

We're so thankful for such a warm welcome! We were happy to see our favorite kind of African bananas- they are small and sweet- and East African coffee! yummy! Thanking God for such kindness!!

We made it!

These are our new digs for the time being. We're thankful to be in such a pretty, comfortable place!
