the body of Christ

We are worshiping the Lord with Todd and Kristi Stewart at the Guesthouse in Lusaka.

Worship may look a little different than normal where you are too....the body of Christ is the people of Christ, not the building.....

Water on the floodplain in the Western Province of Zambia! Thank You God! Thank you everyone for praying for rain!!

Who doesn't love to play in the rain? (Hazel, apparently. ha!!)

We are so happy for Micah- Medland Hospital here in Lusaka x-rayed his arms on March 11th and his radius bones have healed- so this is a snap of the Orthopedic Doctor doing the honors of removing Micah's casts. Yeah! Thank You Lord for healing Micah and for Dr. West!

taco night

Ever had ostrich meat tacos?? They're pretty tasty! None of the kids even knew it was ostrich meat till AFTER they'd taken the first bite. Even our picky eater Matthew liked it!!

We found this at the local grocery store here in Joburg...

and very inexpensive, too- only $2 US dollars!

Gabarone

Here are some pictures of our weekend with our dear friends, the Turners, who live in the capital city of Botswana, Gabarone. It's about a 5 hour drive from Johannesburg. This is such a special family to us! We went through training together in 2009 and have been friends ever since. We thank the Lord for this family, their sweet spirits, and what the Lord is doing through them!

Prayer Requests

March 2024

*Pray for the group of men who began theological training last month. One of the pastors was really excited about what He is learning when Mark visited with him. May he and the other students apply what they are learning in the churches where they serve. *Pray for a family from the Friday therapy group who lost their son due to malaria recently. There has been an outpouring of love and support from their family, friends, and neighbors. This is the only Christian family in our group. Pray comfort for them as they are heartbroken. As their community sees how much they loved their son, may their lives point to the reason they have hope- Jesus. *Pray for God to bring men who are using heroin to Kisima to find freedom from addiction through Jesus. Pray for Mark and his national partner as they seek the Lord's guidance about how to expand this ministry. *Pray for health for our family...mold is constant battle where we live. *Please keep praying for our language learning. *Please pray for us to keep our focus on Jesus. *Please pray for those struggling with drug addiction. It is a big problem on the coast. *Please pray for the Digo and Ndengereko people.

Praises

Thank God with us that:

-We have a number of volunteer teams who want to come and serve with us this year.

-The men began theological classes last month and are excited about what they are learning.

-We had the opportunity to share Jesus with a woman who came to sell us sesame seed treats while we were seated at a restaurant.

- Melynda is cancer free, praise God!!

- There are nationals reaching the Ndengereko...and a few believers among the Ndengereko people...and at least one group meeting for worship and to study the Bible together.
