Caregiving

We have recently been connected to a caregiving group for children and a few adults with disabilities. Their lives are hard. Please pray with us as we seek to share Jesus with these families. They have heard the Gospel more than once and are receiving different forms of assistance such as food and supplies. Pray that we can love them well. Pray with us that they will long for and find the hope that is found in Jesus.

Girls girls girls

I had an amazing time visiting Madylanne at her school for mid term break. These gals lining up for the slip and slide are her dorm mates. Madylanne is the one looking at the camera.
Such a fun day for all of us!
What a blessing from God to be able to spend the weekend together.

On the plane ride home I found this gem in the pocket of the seat. HA! I couldn't help but laugh!! Thankful I didn't have any bad feelings to share.

Visiting friends

We've been blessed to be able to make some visits over the last month. While the boys were on break from school,  they accompanied me to see a family from church. They really enjoyed playing ball with the little boy, Gift. We had fun singing songs and telling the story of Zacchaeus from the Bible.

Mark has been visiting a man who is suffering from terminal cancer with his language helper and sometimes other friends from church. One day I went to visit, too. In the picture are two of his sisters, a nephew, Ednah my language helper, and me. One of his sisters became a follower of Jesus many years ago and has been leading her family to Him one at a time. Please pray for this man. The Gospel has been shared many many times and he is staunchly refusing. Please pray that his heart will be open to Jesus, who loves him and longs to call him His own.

Cashews

We have a beautiful cashew tree in our yard that is bearing fruit...and cashew nuts. This is the first time we've ever had a cashew tree! The fruit is incredibly juicy and has a very unique flavor...
but my favorite are the nuts. :)
The Kiswahili word for cashew is korosho.
