bunnies

Welcome to the rabbit project at Kisima.

Aren't they cute!!!

And yes, rabbits really do multiply fast!

We are prayerful this project will be helpful in many ways in this community.

Hands and feet

Thanking the Lord for the team who came in March and brought AFO braces- ankle foot orthotics- for the kids in the therapy group. These were donated by families with children in the US who outgrew them and responded by giving them to Crystal, the team leader. She and the team carried them across the ocean to many kiddos here on the coast who are benefiting from them now.

Thank You Lord, for Your love, and your kindness displayed by so many. May these AFO's be a blessing to these kids and their families and a visual reminder of Your goodness, love and care.

training area churches

Mark, Pastor Mike and Pastor Jeremiah were able to lead
an associational training recently in the big city near us.
It is an honor to teach leaders from the Word of God.
We pray for a clear understanding and application of what was taught.

Resurrection Sunday 2026

What a magnificent way to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ...
at a sunrise service on the beach near us.
A family new to our area joined us too, which made it extra special.

And here is Madylanne, celebrating Easter with Nana,

Uncle Brady, Aunt Krista and her cousins Rachel and Calvin!

community meal Thursday

Mike and Mark are hard at it in the shade
inviting passerby's to the community meal
on the first Thursday of every month.

This month we had the blessing of being able to share about Easter-
what is it and why do we celebrate?
Our Savior Jesus Christ is risen and we praise Him-
He is the only way to a relationship with God the Father.

It's fun to play with the kids!

Occupational therapy at the county hospital

Last week I had the privilege of visiting the county hospital
with a family new to our therapy group.
These are two of the occupational therapists there.
They cast children for a week at a time to
help with ankle and knee positioning.
The little gal getting positioned did not enjoy it much for sure
but we pray it will help her tremendously!
I was excited to see a room full of OT students learning about casting.

Welcome Lifepoint Church!

In mid March we had a team of 4 ladies come from Lifepoint Church in South Carolina.
We are so grateful for Crystal, Ahnna, Morgan and Melina!
It was so beautiful to see the Lord use each team member and the giftings He's given them to serve in unique and much needed ways.

Ahnna led a seminar for teachers at the boys' international school on universal design.

Melina, a speech therapist, taught caregivers and therapists

how to help children with cerebral palsy eat and swallow more safely.

Giving moms and their children an opportunity to practice what they are learning.

Morgan designed and led us all in painting this gorgeous wall at Kisima.
It is Romans 1:16 in Swahili..
in English it says,
"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel,
because it is God's power for salvation
to everyone who believes..."

Crystal led the team fearlessly and shared her gardening expertise with everyone. She led the effort to buy lovely plants to beautify Kisima and teach us how to add nutrition to the ground for healthier plants.

Teamwork makes the dreamwork!!

I'm so grateful to this team for coming and serving with us!
We love you and thank God for you!

fellowship is sweet

I love meeting with these two sisters in Christ who are dear friends. Each one is married to a pastor with whom we partner. Thank You, Lord, for Ann and Ednah. We lift them, their husbands, and their children up to You, and their church families, too. Be with them as they set a Godly example of marriage, motherhood, and point people to Jesus.

track and field

Micah had the honor of running track and field
for his school recently
at a competition with other area schools.
He was excited to wear the new "sports kit"
as it is called here. He and all his teammates
ran hard and we are proud of them!

Kisima Community Center

Here are some pictures of the last few Thursdays at Kisima Community Center.
Check out the new sign, painted by a church member!
It's such a blessing to serve others through occupational therapy
and be a part of such a great team!
Micah was able to come a few times since he was on break from school.
You can see Pastor Mike and Mark,
Ednah sharing the Bible story from the storying cloth.
And Alisyn, OT student and Esther
(plus Dennis and Ali) have been helping, too in so many ways.
May these families see the love of Jesus tangibly expressed
and be drawn to Him!!

ladies associational meeting

Emanuel Baptist Church had the honor of hosting the ladies associational meeting on Saturday. What a blessing to be with many sisters in Christ worshiping the Lord together. Please pray for these women and the church bodies they are part of to be a reflection of Jesus in the places they are located all over our area.

Matthew is 15

Oh my does time fly. Matthew turned 15 on February 2nd. What a young man he is becoming. Taller than me which he loves of course. Steady, thoughtful, smart, funny, caring, comic loving, netball player, cat fan, faithful friend and brother, teen who loves Jesus. We are so grateful to the Lord for creating Matthew! Please pray with us that he will continue walking in step with the Lord in the year ahead.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Meet Alisyn, an occupational therapy student from Kansas,
who is volunteering with us once a week until March
as a part of her doctoral degree program through
the University of Kansas.
Woohoo!
Thank you for serving with us, Alisyn!
May the Lord bless you
and the plans He has
ahead for you!

And Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!

Kisima Community Center

Praise God for our very first community meal as
Kisima Community Center!
January 8th we invited the people
of the community for a big lunch
and the Lord brought
37 people!
What a blessing to be able to share the Gospel
and eat together.
We pray this is the just the beginning of many wonderful
things the Lord wants to do.

TCK Camp

Matthew had the amazing opportunity to attend TCK (third culture kid) Camp the last week of December/first week of January. It's intended for kids from our organization who are teenagers. Last year he attended with Madylanne but this year he attended by himself for the first time...flying to our capital city on his own to join up with a group of sponsors and teens who then traveled together to their camp destination. This was a big first for him! And for Mom and Dad, too. We are grateful God kept him safe and for the people along the way who helped. He had a great week at camp growing closer to the Lord and meeting new friends...I see him reading his Bible in the evenings and we are using his new devotional at the breakfast table in the mornings before school. I am so thankful to the Lord for how He is growing our children in Him, and for the people who come along side to help along this journey.
