Baptist Mission of Sesheke

WOW do we have reason to praise the Lord...this top photo is the frame for Baptist Mission of Sesheke with all the church family in front. The men in the second picture were busy Friday digging holes and putting in poles. One of the men had been drinking as of late but through the encouragement of the Holy Spirit and the other men in the church he is coming around. He is the one holding his daughters.
The small building with a door is the storage area that, Lord willing, will soon be Pastor Given's home. And the bottom picture shows the latrine.

Thank You God for all that you are doing in the life of Baptist Mission of Sesheke! May it grow and be a beacon of light and truth in Sesheke!!

How exciting that the church is finally being built. Even though it is nothing like we Americans think we "need", it will be a wonderful place to gather and worship with the Lozi and Luvale people.

Prayer Requests

May 2024

*Pray for the 4 volunteer teams coming to serve with us this summer! The first team arrives this month. May the Lord speak to their hearts as they are speaking to people here in our coastal area about Jesus! Pray for all that God wants to do in people's lives over the next few months. *Pray for an associational training Mark will be leading May 11. *Pray for God to bring men who are using heroin to Kisima to find freedom from addiction through Jesus. Pray for Mark and his national partner as they seek the Lord's guidance for where to purchase land in order to expand this ministry. *Pray for health for our family...mold is constant battle where we live. *Please keep praying for our language learning. *Please pray for us to keep our focus on Jesus. *Please pray for those struggling with drug addiction. It is a big problem on the coast. *Please pray for the Digo and Ndengereko people.

Praises

Thank God with us that:

-Our roof is almost complete!

-Our first team of volunteers arrives this month.

-We had the opportunity to share Jesus with Esther's sister and a neighbor who came to sit with us while we were talking.

- We've had some lovely weekend visitors over the last few months. Thanking God for good company.

- There are nationals reaching the Ndengereko...and a few believers among the Ndengereko people...and at least one group meeting for worship and to study the Bible together.
