This is Mikey. He's a little brother of one of the neighborhood boys. Isn't he adorable!! Please pray with us that Mikey and his big brother Muyinga will become followers of Jesus.

Cashew Butter

Cashews!!

On our way back from Mongu we
stopped to buy fresh cashews and
this is what they look like in the shell...

and what it looks like when they are ground up.
Making homemade cashew butter is fun and
YUMMY!

Tada!

So here are the finished cushion covers that Bo Mulemba made.
Aren't they pretty?

Bo Malemba

This sweet Lozi woman is Bo Malemba. She has a tailor shop just a few blocks from our house. She is working on some cushion covers for us. Look at her sewing machine....she turns the wheel by hand. No foot pedals, no electricity. By hand! It makes me happy to watch her sew. She takes pride in her work and enjoys visiting with her customers. Please pray with me that Bo Malemba will come to know Christ as her Savior.

life in Senanga

Here are some pictures of life in Senanga. Ox carts are the most popular way of transporting goods....this top photo is the man who sells charcoal from his cart on the road in front of our house.

The middle photo- a man carrying goods on the main road through town.

This is a common mud and stick house in the Western Province.
                                                             This one is really nice-
no holes and a tin roof!!!

Tuesday afternoons

The kids enjoy Tuesday afternoons- games with neighborhood kids and then a Bible story afterward.

Bo Muluti

This is Bo Muluti, a Lozi man. He helps the kids in the mornings while Mark and I do language. He got his teaching certificate in education at a college in Lusaka and is waiting for Zambian schools to begin their hiring process sometime in the next few months. He helps the kids with their lessons in the mornings and has been teaching them some Silozi, too. We are blessed by his quiet sense of humor and ready smile. Please pray for his family because his uncle passed away unexpectedly last week.
