Baby dedication

Mark had the joy of leading a baby dedication
service at Emanuel Baptist Church recently.

We pray these precious gifts of God grow in the love of Jesus
and come to know Him as Savior.

May we as parents and as the body of Christ
point them to Him in all we say and do.

Madylanne's summer travels

Madylanne has had the huge blessing
of being able to attend a summer camp
of sorts for third culture kids her age.
What a view! She got to see a new part of the world.

We are grateful for the blessing

of a sending agency who cares about

and invests in the lives of our children.

Puppy palooza

Our dogs Kali and Cruz had puppies
in the middle of the all the summer fun
with volunteer teams. They are cute little roly poly fur balls.
This is a first for our family...
we've had many dogs
but never puppies.
We're all enjoying their energy and adorableness!

Back seat reading

This picture makes my mama heart so happy.

All three kiddos are reading in the backseat
while we were on the way to the big city
not too far from us to renew our visas.
Thanking God for kids who like to read,
good books for reading, and a successful trip to immigration.

Lifepoint Church

Lifepoint Church in South Carolina came to serve with us in July.
Their team was really big so we had multiple places
for ministry while they were here.

One group taught theological education
to pastors and lay leaders. It was such a blessing
to see many national pastors and leaders
come to learn more about Biblical doctrine and leadership.

Another group led VBS for the kids in the therapy group

plus had special devotions for the caregivers,

giving them ways to rest in Jesus.

They prepared many care bags for the families.

Some of the men made a home visit to Samuel.

And there were many opportunities for home visits, evangelism,

and visiting a new boarding school for children

with physical disabilities as well as visiting Salama Care.

We are so thankful for Lifepoint Church

and the many many ways God worked through them while they were here!

Metropolitan Baptist Church

Metropolitan Baptist Church from Wichita, KS
came to serve with us in June/July and we are so grateful they came!

What an amazing week of many different kinds of things....
We visited Salama Care, a home for teenage moms.
We planted two trees and pray
that as Tina and these young moms receive care and support,
they will come to follow Jesus who loves them so.

We made chipatis together, a gift of love from Ednah and Mike....

The ladies helped host a women's associational
meeting at Emanuel Baptist Church.

We did lots of evangelism on the beach,
and also visited a local votech school on their culture day
as a follow up to the visit in May.
Praising God for the new believer!!
May this be the continuation of what God is doing on this campus.

Esther's new house

Esther is getting a new house.
The walls had holes and it was falling down.
Praise the Lord for the new strong
cement foundation, corner poles,
and straight walls.
Thanking God for everyone
who had a part in helping with this.

QJoy

These lovely people are the volunteers from QJoy
who came to serve with us in June.
You can see Tina, Zena, and Madylanne joined us, too.
A huge thank you to Tina for all the help
with organizing transportation for the families!!
These amazing volunteers put on a camp day
for the families from therapy and then a BEACH DAY.
Many of the families said this was the first time
their whole families had been to the beach.
Thank you so much, QJoy and Robby,
for hosting these events
and sharing the love of Jesus with these families!!

Two times it started sprinkling on us but the Lord held back the storm...literally.
So of course we shared the story of Jesus calming the storm..
and one Mama said, "Just like He did today!"

Kitesurfing

Madylanne wanted kitesurfing lessons for her birthday this year.
This is a whole body workout, lemme tell ya!
In the middle picture you can see her
up on the board with her yellow kite.
We've had a big learning curve.
It's not a once and done kinda thing...
kitesurfing takes a lot of practice.
Way to go, Madylanne.  :)

Madylanne's teacher, Eveline.

June babies

Happy 17th birthday to Madylanne on June 4
and happy first birthday to Pendo on June 30th!!
I am so thankful to the Lord for my June baby, Madylanne,
who isn't so little anymore. :)
And what a blast we had celebrating
this beautiful life God has given us together.

What fun to celebrate Pendo's birthday at church!!
